Antimaydan (Russia)

January 15, 2015 , at the press conference “Challenges of the Present: Revolutions, Illegal Actions; how to protect your country from collapse, "the head of the Night Wolves biker club Alexander Zaldostanov , member of the Federation Council Dmitry Sablin and mixed martial arts fighter Yulia Berezikova initiated the creation of the Russian anti-Maidan movement, which aims to" counteract illegal attempts to overthrow the current government in the manner Ukrainian Euromaidan ” ^[6] . The movement has non-partisan status and does not imply either funding or fixed membership. The co-chairs of the movement were: writer Nikolai Starikov ^[5] , Alexander Zaldostanov, Dmitry Sablin, Julia Berezikova and Anton Demidov . In February 2016, Anton Demidov was also elected co-chair ^[7] .

The first official event of the movement was the action on January 15 at Manezhnaya Square in Moscow, where representatives of the non-systemic opposition gathered ^[8] .

On February 21, 2015, the movement organized a rally in memory of the first anniversary of the change of power in Ukraine under the slogan "There will be no Maidan in Russia." The event was attended by the movement "Officers of Russia", "Battle Brotherhood", Cossacks, representatives of youth movements, members of the "Civil Platform" party. The Ministry of Internal Affairs estimated the number of people gathered to 35,000 people, the organizers announced 50,000. Since 2015, the National Liberation Movement of the Deputy from United Russia Yevgeny Fedorov ^[12] and the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia ^{[13] have} collaborated with Antimaidan.

In the 2016 parliamentary elections, representatives of Anti-Maidan acted as candidates for United Russia. Senator Dmitry Sablin ^[15] won in Moscow in the Novomoskovsk single-mandate constituency (first, at the primaries of EP ^[14] )., In the Nizhny Tagil single-mandate constituency, deputy head of the Tagil branch of the movement “ In Defense of the Labor of Labor ” and member of the Uralvagonzavod trade union Alexei Balyberdin ^{[16] [17] [18]} .

The main ideological principles, in accordance with which the organization operates, are formulated in the Manifesto of the Anti-Maidan Movement ^[19] .

The goals of the movement were:

• Preventing the implementation of color revolutions, chaos and anarchy ^{[20] [16] [21]} ,
• Protection of the constitutional order and law, traditional values ​​of society and the future of the country ^[20] ,
• Tracking the actions of participants in protests ^[1] ,
• Prevention of violent and violent overthrow of a legally elected government. ^[22] .

In July 2015, members of Antimaydan held a series of pickets against the participation of non-systemic opposition parties in the regional elections. The participants in the movement were accused of committing provocations against opposition activists and politicians ^{[23] [24]} .

They also participated in a skirmish with opponents of the installation in Moscow of a monument to Prince Vladimir . In 2015, they held a series of single pickets in St. Petersburg, protesting the planned arrival of Mustafa Nayyem in the cultural capital. Almost 2 hours after the start of the rally, an official statement appeared by the organizers of the Dialogue discussion club that Mustafa Nayyem would not take part in the planned discussion and would not come to Russia. ^[25] .

The movement supported the special educational program “Scenarios of the Future of Russia” created by the Institute for Strategic Studies and Forecasts of the RUDN University. Under the guise of scientific and educational lectures “on counteracting destructive political forces”, representatives of the institute during their visits to more than 40 Moscow and dozens of regional universities evaluated the “protest potential” of students and teachers. As a result of the measures, certificates for official use were compiled for representatives of state authorities and specialized structures ^[26] .

There is no official leader of the movement, the direct co-chairs are carried out by:
