“Ichthyosaurus” is the eleventh studio album of the Soviet and Russian rock group “ Television ”, released on CD in September 2016. The band's first album, released with crowdfunding .

There is such a firm journalistic definition for older rockers - " rock and roll dinosaur ." And I always wanted to be something like an ichthyosaur . Since childhood, after watching the movie " Amphibian Man ", I dreamed of free swimming under water. On land, gravity depresses us, and under water we can be light and independent, as Zhvanetsky taught.

The track list of the album includes songs written by Mikhail Borzykin since 2010, after the release of the previous album “ Deja Vu ”, a total of 13 tracks. Among them: “Red snow”, “Round dance”, “And along the banks”, “Ichthyosaurus”, “The last glass of water” and others. Most of them have been repeatedly performed at concerts or even were published in studio sound. The album is divided into two halves. Some of the songs from this album relate to the social reaction to what is happening, Borzykin’s civil reaction, such as the song “Red Snow”, and some of the songs are lyrical and even tropical. Traveling to overseas countries inspired several songs with a fish theme on Borzykin, in particular “Crazy Tuna”, “Two Barracudas” and the song “Being Nobody.” On June 18, 2016 the TV group completed work on their new album. So, on July 1, 2016, a presentation took place the song “Just Be Nobody” on the Novaya Gazeta website.

I worked on this song in the winter, in Thailand , on the island. Thanks to weather contrasts (“Winter is in Russia”), she was born. I managed to look at myself and my country from afar, get rid of the labels that I hung on myself, and just be nobody. This gives some degree of freedom.

The mastering of the album took place in Germany. The album was released on the label "Geometry" .

A digital version of the album was sent out to shareholders on August 1, 2016.

Presentations of the album took place: September 15 in Yotaspace (Moscow) and October 20 in the club "Cosmonaut" (St. Petersburg).
