Biography

Almir has played in more than 15 clubs over his career, including in Japan, Turkey and Mexico. As part of SΓ£o Paulo, he won the CONMEBOL Cup Winners Cup in 1996, scoring 4 goals in the cup. As part of Atletico Mineiro, he won the CONMEBOL Cup in 1997 , the Centennial Cup of Belo Horizonte in 1998 and the Mercosur Cup in 1998 . He played 5 games in the Brazilian national team, was declared for the 1993 America’s Cup, in which he played only one match (against Argentina, which the Brazilians lost). He completed his career in 2008.
