Since 1930, he worked in the State Scientific Research Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology (Moscow), a senior researcher.

Author of research in the field of chemistry of organofluorine compounds.

Received (together with A. Ya. Yakubovich) fluoro cyan and hexafluorodimethyl nitroxyl.

He developed the technology of industrial production of fluorocarbon lubricants, perfluorinated liquids and elastomers used in military and space technology.

Stalin Prize in 1951 - for theoretical studies in the field of general chemistry.
