Career
A native of the village of Vladimirovka (Enotaevsky district, Astrakhan region). In 1961 he graduated from the Kazakh Institute of Physical Culture .
Since 1961 - a teacher of physical education at the Kzyl-Orda Pedagogical Institute .
Since 1963 - instructor, head coach of the Republican Council of the Union of Sports Societies and Organizations,
Since 1965 - at the Komsomol work; instructor, head of the sports and defense-mass work department of the Central Committee of the Komsomol of Kazakhstan.
Since 1970 - Chairman of the Committee of Youth Organizations of Kazakhstan.
Since August 1971 - Chairman of the Committee on Physical Culture and Sports under the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR.
Since 1986 - Chairman of the State Committee of the Kazakh SSR on physical education and sports.
Since January 1991 - Chairman of the State Committee of the Kazakh SSR for Youth, Physical Education and Sports, and since August 1991 - First Deputy Minister of Tourism, Physical Education and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 1993-2002 - President of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan .
