Biography
He graduated with a gold medal from the 6th St. Petersburg Gymnasium ( 1891 ) [1] and the Natural History Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of St. Petersburg University ( 1895 ).
Until the October Revolution of 1917, he was an official of the Ministry of Finance , a member of the Council of the State Bank. In 1913 he was promoted to actual state councilor . He was awarded the Order of St. Anne 2 nd century. (1908) and St. Stanislaus 3rd Art. (1899) [2] .
He collaborated in the following editions: “Village”, “Our Economy”, “Rural Herald”, “Commerce and Industry Newspaper”, “Herald of Finance”, “ Russian Economic Outlook ”. Separate articles and notes were also placed in the "Host", "Agricultural Newspaper" and "Encyclopedia of Agriculture" by A. F. Devrien. Worked since 1895 in the editorial offices of periodicals of the Ministry of Finance. Founder and editor of the magazine "Dairy" (since 1902 ). Editor of the magazine "Village" and "Peasant Economy" (from the end of 1905 ).
In the 1920s. - Chief Editor of the Trade and Industrial Newspaper, then editor of the Financial Newspaper. He was chairman of the agricultural section of the Supreme Economic Council .
In 1930, the OGPU was arrested on charges of guiding the so-called “ organization of the pests of working supplies ”, which was blamed for the poor provision of the USSR population with food. He was shot along with 47 other " pests " by Stalin’s personal order.
Rehabilitated September 26, 1957, the definition of the Military Tribunal of the Moscow Military District [3] .
