NEW - the village of the Novoderevensky society, Ilyinsko-Syasky parish. Syas River.

The number of inhabitants according to the family lists of 1879: 38 m., 39 g. P.; according to the parish records of 1879: 36 m. paragraph [2] .
At the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th centuries, the village belonged to the Sugorovka volost of the 1st zemsky district of the 1st camp of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province .

According to the map of the Petrograd and Novgorod provinces of 1913, the village was called New Village, there were 7 peasant households [4] .
From 1917 to 1918, the village of Novaya was part of the Sugorovskaya volost of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province.
Since 1918, as part of the Cherepovets province .
Since 1927, as part of the Ilyinsky Village Council of the Tikhvin District.
In 1928, the population of the village of Novaya was 121 people [5] .
According to 1933, the village of Novaya was part of the Ilyinsky Village Council [6] .
In 1958, the population of the village of Novaya was 62 people [5] .
According to the data of 1966, 1973 and 1990, the village of Novaya was also part of the Ilyinsky Village Council [7] [8] [9] .
In 1997, 21 people lived in the village of Novaya Ilyinsky volost, in 2002 - 16 people (Russians - 94%) [10] [11] .

The village is located in the southwestern part of the area near the A114 highway .
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 13 km [12] .
The distance to the nearest railway platform Cherentsovo is 4 km [7] .
The village is located on the left bank of the Syas River at the confluence of the Lunenka River.
