Story
1951 year . Czechoslovakia . A special flight from Vietnam landed at the Prague airport. On board are citizens of Czechoslovakia , who previously fought on the French side as part of the Foreign Legion in Indochina and then switched to the side of Vietnam .
They are met by few relatives and friends. A worried woman does not find her son Vaclav among the passengers, but turns to two former legionnaires, who in response are interested in where her son is from. She informs them that Wenceslas is from Pilsen . Legionnaires know only one of their combat associates from Pilsen - Lieutenant Wolf . Hearing this, the woman is shocked and constantly repeats: “Lieutenant Wolf ..., Lieutenant Wolf ...”, because Rudolf Wolf is a German , a former SS lieutenant, the murderer of Wenceslas father and sister during World War II .
Further, the plot of the film returns some time ago and tells a dramatic story about the everyday life of mercenaries from the French Foreign Legion during the First Indo-Chinese War in Vietnam , and how Vaclav Mali and Rudolf Wolf met in one unit of the legionnaires ...
