Polyachenko Yuri Vladimirovich (born February 20, 1963 , Kiev ) - Soviet physician, Ukrainian politician. The People’s Deputy of Ukraine from January 2013 in the Verkhovna Rada of the 7th convocation , was elected according to the list of the Party of Regions (No. 76). Honored Doctor of Ukraine .

Biography
Born February 20, 1963 in the city of Kiev, father - Polyachenko Vladimir Avrumovich
Higher education. In 1986 he graduated from the Kiev Medical Institute .
Since March 2001 - Chairman of the Standing Tender Committee of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for organizing and implementing procurement of goods, works and services for public funds.
Since 2001, he worked at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine:
- from September 2001 to June 2002 - First Deputy Secretary of State,
- from June 2002 - Secretary of State, then - First Deputy Minister.
- Since November 28, 2003 - Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
A participant in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident .
October 11, 2005 was appointed to the post of Minister of Health of Ukraine in the government of Yekhanurov .
On August 4, 2006, he was appointed by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the post of Minister of Health of Ukraine in the second government of Viktor Yanukovych .
After his dismissal from the post of Minister ( March 23, 2007 ), he headed the Institute of Surgery and Transplantology of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine .
February 22, 2014 left the Party of Regions faction.
State Awards
- Honored Doctor of Ukraine ( February 19, 1997 ) - for a significant contribution to the development of health protection, the introduction of modern methods of diagnosis and treatment, high professional skill [1]
- The State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology in 2012 - for a series of scientific works "Mechanisms of the functioning of the digestive system" (as part of a team) [2]
