Vladimir Gavrilovich Ponugayev ( July 28, 1910 - after 1995) was a Soviet wagon athlete.

Career
Vladimir Ponugaev played hockey with the ball in the midfield position. In the first national championship he defended the colors of the Spartak Leningrad. He played in the USSR Cup final in 1937 as part of SKIF.
In the championships of 1950, 1951 and 1952, he played for the KVIFK team . In 1952 he became the silver medalist of the USSR championship, in 1951 and 1952 he became a finalist of the USSR Cup. Three times (1950, 1951, 1952) was included in the list of 22 best players of the championship .
During the evacuation in Kazan, he played football at the position of the goalkeeper, in the team of the N-skii plant , the backbone of which was the Zenit players.
In the first post-war years he created the Leningrad hockey school. He played in the team of the House of Officers. SM Kirov, the future of SKA . The first championship of the USSR team finished in 9th place.
Three seasons judged matches of the highest league of hockey.
One of the founders of the pedagogical school of hockey coaches.
For more than a quarter of a century he worked at the Department of Sports Games of the Military Institute of Physical Education, created an institute handball team, which under his leadership won the silver medals of the USSR championship in 1953 - the first in the history of the Leningrad hand ball.
