Description
The upper side of the wings of the males is blue, the females are blue-brown or brown. On the upper side of the wings, most species have rows of brown spots. In the central cell on the underside of the wings there is one simple or double spot, which disappears from time to time. The general background of the underside of the wings is gray, there are no reddish holes in the marginal region. Sexual dimorphism is not as pronounced as in most other species of cyanosis, but to a greater or lesser extent is observed in all members of the genus. The outer edges of the front and rear wings are rounded. Fringe can be variegated. The eyes are bare.
Myrmecophiles . Caterpillars feed on plants at early ages, and at later ages live in the nest of ants. Caterpillars eat larvae and pupae of ants, remaining to spend the winter.
