Zhemovo is a village in the Zaraysky District of the Moscow Region , a rural settlement of Strupnenskoye as part of the municipality (until November 29, 2006 it was part of the Strupnenskoye rural district ) [2] , the village is connected by bus to the regional center and neighboring settlements [3] .

Geography
Zhemovo is located 5 km south-west of Zaraisk , on the Neznanka River [6] , the height of the center of the village above sea level is 145 m [3] .
History
Zhemovo is first mentioned in the 1594 payment books . In 1790 there were 15 yards in the village , 172 inhabitants, in 1858 - 32 yards and 164 inhabitants, in 1906 - 35 yards, 262 inhabitants. In 1929, the collective farm "Struggle" was formed, since 1961 - as part of the state farm "Stockings-Sokolovo" [7] .
