Burkinsky Boris Vladimirovich (born November 3, 1942 in the city of Voznesensk ) - Soviet economist, doctor of economic sciences , professor , academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine ( 2003 ), honored worker of science and technology of Ukraine ( 1997 ), laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology (2003).

Biography
He graduated from Odessa Technological Institute. M.V. Lomonosov . He worked as a senior engineer, team leader, senior researcher, department head, scientific secretary of the Odessa branch of the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and in 1980 he headed this research team. Since 1991 - Director of the Institute for Market Problems and Economic and Environmental Studies of NAS of Ukraine
Research interests: problems of sustainable development of regions, the formation of market mechanisms, models of free economic zones and the development of entrepreneurship.
B.V. Burkinsky - scientific consultant and expert of the working group under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the preparation of draft normative acts on legal regulation of maritime transport, the interdepartmental working group under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine on the development of a “Comprehensive Program of Ukrainian-Russian cooperation in the field of protecting the natural environment of the Azov-Black Sea basin Dnieper and transboundary watercourses ”, as well as a working group on international environmental agreements on a draft environmental policy and technology, which is implemented with the support of the United States Agency for International Development.
B.V. Burkinsky created a scientific school of regional economic and environmental problems and market development problems. He prepared five doctors and more than 30 candidates of sciences, who today work creatively in many state enterprises and in the business sector of Ukraine.
Over the years, the scientist combined scientific work with the duties of deputy chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration and the Southern Scientific Center of the NAS of Ukraine.
Member of the scientific and editorial board of the journals "Industrial Economics", "East" (Donetsk), "Regional Economics" (Lviv) and many others.
