Biography
It came from the French line of the Ostseey clan von Rosen . The son of Marshal of France Conrad de Rosen , Count de Bolville, and Maria Sophia de Rosen.
January 1, 1681 entered the service of the King’s House with a page at the main stable. December 23, 1682 received a company in the cavalry regiment of Rottenburg. In 1683 he served in the siege of Courtre , the capture of Dixmoid , and the bombardment of Oudenaard . In 1684 he was in the Flanders Army, which covered the siege of Luxembourg .
In 1690, he participated in the battle of Fleurus , in 1691 in the siege of Mons and the battle of Lös , in 1692 in the siege and capture of Namur, the battle of Stenkerk and the bombardment of Charleroi .
April 12, 1693 was appointed lieutenant colonel. He commanded his regiment during the siege of Yui , at the battle of Nervinden , during the siege of Charleroi. April 28, 1694 received the rank of Campaign Master of Cavalry. In 1694-1695 he served in the Flanders Army.
February 17, 1696, after the production of Count de Rottenberg in the camp marshals , led his regiment. He commanded them in the campaigns of 1696-1677 in Flanders, participated in the siege of Ata .

In 1701-1703 he again served in the Flanders Army, in 1702 he contributed to the victory over the Dutch before Nimwegen , in 1703 - to the victory at Eckeren.
February 10, 1704 promoted to foreman . Acted in the Moselle army of Count de Quagni. In 1705 he was in the Flanders Army of Marshal Villeroy . In 1706 he fought at Ramiyya , in 1707 he continued to serve in the Flanders Army, in 1708 he participated in the Battle of Oudenard .
March 20, 1709 was promoted to camp marshal. Detached from the command of the regiment. As part of the Flanders Army, he fought at the Battle of Malplack .
In 1710-1713 he served in the Rhine Army. In 1713 he was at the sieges of Landau and Freiburg .
On August 10, 1715 he was granted the rank of Commander of the Order of St. Louis , on October 1, 1718 he was promoted to lieutenant general, after which he retired. As a commander, he received a pension of 3,000 livres, which had previously been paid to Marshal Vauban .
During the stay of Tsar Peter I in Paris on June 19, 1717, a letter was issued to the count, confirming, on the basis of Swedish certification in 1698, that the offspring of General Reinhold von Rosen and Marshal Conrad de Rosen belonged to the knighthood of Livonia . The document was sealed by the tsar’s seal and certified by the signature of Vice Chancellor Baron Shafirov .
King Louis XV , in a sign of his affection for Rosen, elevated Barony Bolville to the rank of Marquisate in 1739. Reynold-Charles de Rosen died in his castle Bolviller and was buried in a family crypt in the church of Feldkirch .
