Career
Pupil of Monchegorsk ball hockey .
In the 1989/90 season, he helped Severonickel win second place in the first league and a ticket to the major league .
He played in the major league as part of the Severonickel clubs (1990-1995). In the Premier League, Severonickel played 113 games, scoring 55 goals.
In 1995 he moved to Vodnik , where he played until 2009, played 357 matches and scored 116 goals, becoming the nine-time Russian champion.
The season 2009/10 began in the Borovichi team. Igor spent 6 games and scored 1 goal. In mid-December 2009, Konyakhin completed the season. And the team finished the season in last (17) place.
He spent the 2010/11 season in the team of the first league “ Murman ”, going out on the ice 27 times. The team won first place and a ticket to the big leagues .
After graduating from his career, he returned to Monchegorsk , where he works as an instructor of the SDYUSHOR.
