Servech [1] , Servech [2] ( Belorussian Servach ) - a river in Belarus , flows through the territory of the Baranavichy district of the Brest region , Korelichi and Novogrudok regions of the Grodno region , the left tributary of the Neman . The length of the river is 63 km, the catchment area is 770 km². The average annual water flow at the mouth is 4.8 m³ / s [3] .

The source of the river is located near the village of Selyavichi (Brest region), 18 km northwest of the center of Baranavichy . The general direction of the current is north and northeast. The upper course passes through the Baranavichy district of the Brest region, then the river flows into the Korelichi district of the Grodno region, along which it overcomes most of the stream. The final kilometers of the current pass through the Novogrudok district.
The valley in the upper reaches 0.3-0.5 km wide; on average, 1-1.5 km. The floodplain is bilateral, swampy or meadow, crossed by a network of reclamation canals, in the upper reaches of 50-100 m wide, with an average flow of 400-600 m, in the mouth of more than 1 km. The channel is winding, in the lower reaches it is canalized. In the lower reaches around the canalized channel, an extensive network of reclamation channels has been created. In the upper reaches near the village of Kutovschina, the river is blocked by a dam, forming the Lizarovsky reservoir . The shores are sandy , less often peaty , often steep. The highest level of flood at the beginning of the decade of March [3] .
The main tributaries are Petukhovka, Korchevka, Nevda , Ruta (all are left).
The river valley is densely populated, the river flows through a large number of settlements. The largest of them is the urban settlement Gorodishche . Other large villages and villages - Great Village, Kiseli, Yasenets , Buckwheat, Kutovshchina, Karchevo (Brest region); Tsirin , Ostashin , Krynki , Berezovets , Ponemon (Grodno region). Servech flows 3 km from the district center, the village of Korelichi , which are located on the tributary of the Servech River Ruta .
It falls into the Neman at the village of Ponemon . The width of the river in the lower reaches is about 15 meters, the flow velocity is 0.3 m / s.
The hydronym is the addition of the root components of Ser- + ves . The first of them is motivated by the word ser - “river” from the Komi language, and the second is a modification of the ancient hydronymic root with the meanings “water”, “moisture”, “wet”.
