Biography
Zuhair’s father was a poet, his eldest son, Kab ibn Zuhair , who lived in the time of Muhammad , also became a famous poet. Zuhair studied under Avs ibn Hajar, his son Kaab and al-Hutaya became disciples of Zuhair himself [1] .
Kasyda Zuhayra, who tells of two Arabs, whose nobility put an end to the 40-year feud between the Abs and the Tooth tribes, became an outstanding work of pre-Islamic Arabic poetry and became part of the Muallakat collection. Qasida Zuhair differs from the works of other authors of that time in an epic manner of narration [2] .
