History
It was founded in 1929 at the branch of the Mitrofanovsky state farm as a village for special resettlers (dispossessed). Residential buildings were erected on the outskirts of the tract, and a dairy farm was built. Since 1931, a branch of the Miass creamery was located on the territory of the village, and since 1932, the central estate of the Donguzlovsky farm (specializing in the production of meat and milk). The village was part of Glubokinsky (until 1959), Berezovsky (until 1962) village councils, Chelyabinsk (until 1932) and Kopeisk (until 1937) districts, the city of Kopeisk (until 1941). In 1938, there were 39 houses in it. In 1942–50 and 1954–60, a subsidiary farm of the Chelyabinskugol plant (Kopeiskugol trust) was operating on the base. In 1960 a feed farm “Donguzlovsky” was created (since 2000 - ZAO “Donguzlovsky”) with a central estate in Lugovoi.
In the early 1980s, they were among the first to try out a new method of organizing labor in field cultivation - flow-cycle.
The village was officially registered in 1961, since 1962 it has been the center of the village council.
In 1933 - 1935, a five-day newspaper was published in the village of the Political Department of the Donguzly state farm, Sovkhoznik.
Geography
Located in the southern part of the district, on the shores of Lake Shuvaldy. Relief - plain (West Siberian lowland); the nearest height is 185 m. The landscape is a forest-steppe. The village is surrounded by meadow steppes. To the southeast - rare spikes, to the east - a large lake-swamp (natural boundary) Donguzly.

According to the All-Russian Census , in 2010 the population of the village was 775 people (364 men and 411 women).
