Biography
Anatoly Krivokhizh was born on December 1, 1925 in the village of Kopanki, Maloviskovsky district, Kirovograd region .
In 1957 he graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education with a degree in Physical Education at the Omsk State Pedagogical Institute of Physical Culture.
In the same year ( 1957 ), Anatoly Mikhailovich became the founder of the honored dance ensemble of Ukraine "Yatran", in which he fruitfully worked as a collector and promoter of folk choreographic art for many years. During his work in the ensemble, he performed many choreographic productions, which were included in the treasury of Ukrainian choreographic art: "Yatransky igri" , "Turn" , "Carols" and the like.
In 1967, Anatoly Mikhailovich was awarded the title of Honored Art Worker of Ukraine , in 1971 he was awarded the Order of Lenin , and in 1973 he received the title of People's Artist of Ukraine .
In 1986 A.M. Krivokhizh organized the academic theater of folk music, song and dance "Zoryany" of the Kirovograd Regional Philharmonic.
Since 1997, Anatoly Krivokhizha has been working at Kirovograd Pedagogical University named after V. Vinnichenko (KSPU named after Vinnichenko).
In 1998, Anatoly Mikhailovich Krivokhizh became an honorary citizen of the city of Kirovograd.
Since 2002 - Associate Professor of the Department of Choreographic Disciplines of KSPU named after Vinnichenko. At the university, he teaches disciplines: “The art of the choreographer”, “Preparation of concert numbers”, “Ethnology and choreographic folklore of Ukraine”.
Anatoly Mikhailovich Krivokhizh was elected a member of the Board of the National Choreographic Union of Ukraine and the main consultant on the use of folklore and ethnographic materials in choreographic art.
From 1997 to the present time - as the chief choreographer of the Academic Theater of Music, Song and Dance "Zoryany" of the Kirovograd Regional Philharmonic.
