Aleksandr Borisovich Bakumenko ( Ukrainian: Oleksandr Borisovich Bakumenko , born April 29, 1959 [1] , Kharkov, USSR, USSR) - Ukrainian politician and public figure, representative of the Ukrainian agrarian lobby, People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 8th convocation. In the Rada, he is a member of the bloc Petro Poroshenko , is Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations [1] .

Biography
Alexander Borisovich Bakumenko was born on April 29, 1959 in Kharkov. After graduating from high school, he, following the example of his brother, received higher education at the Kharkov Veterinary Institute , graduating with honors in 1983 as a zoo engineer. At the same time, he worked as a team leader at the UCHGOSP “Progress” of the Veterinary Institute [2] .
In the period from 1983 to 1984, he served in the Armed Forces of the USSR, was transferred to the reserve with the rank of lieutenant.
From 1985 to 1998, Bakumenko worked in a number of agricultural firms, both state-owned, during the Soviet era, and private, after Ukraine gained independence [3] .
Since 1999, Alexander Bakumenko was engaged in public and organizational work, advised and represented the interests of Ukrainian poultry enterprises.
In 2003, he was elected chairman of the board of directors of the Association “Union of Poultry Breeders of Ukraine” and worked in this position until being elected MP in 2014. In 2006, he participated in the International Poultry Council (USA) and the National Agricultural Chamber of Ukraine.
In 2007, he became CEO of the Union of Feed Producers of Ukraine Association. Also in 2007, under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Council of National Associations of Commodity Producers was created, Bakumenko took the post of head of the Committee for the Protection of the Internal Market in it.
In the framework of protecting domestic producers, Alexander Bakumenko regularly spoke with lawmakers and the press, drew attention to the acute problems of Ukrainian agriculture, and lobbied for legislative measures to protect Ukrainian agricultural producers [4] .
In 2014, in connection with the election of a People's Deputy of Ukraine, Bakumenko ceased his membership in public organizations.
Policy
In 2014, Alexander Bakumenko took part in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada of the 8th convocation as part of the party list of the block of Petro Poroshenko at number 57 and was elected deputy [1] . In Parliament, Bakumenko works as deputy chairman of the committee on agrarian policy and land relations [1] . Alexander Bakumenko is one of the most disciplined deputies, according to electronic registration, he attended more than 95% of plenary meetings [1] .
In 2016, a social activist from Lviv, Svyatoslav Litinsky, sued the Verkhovna Rada’s Office because of a refusal to translate into the state language the speech of deputy Bakumenko, who spoke at a meeting of the Committee on Agricultural Policy in Russian [5] .
Alexander Borisovich Bakumenko has a blog on the site of the “ Left Bank ”, in which he writes about pressing problems of agriculture in Ukraine [6] . He also has a Facebook page on which he reports current news about his work in parliament [7] .
December 25, 2018 is included in the sanctions list of Russia [8] .

Hobbies
Since childhood, Bakumenko has been fond of football, at the slightest opportunity she likes to play soccer or watch a match, both on TV and at the stadium [2] .
