Biography
Born in 1929 in a peasant family in the village of Vladimirovka. Received primary education. From the age of 12, she worked on the collective farm named after March 8 in the Karlovsky district. During the occupation, she worked in a public yard. After the liberation of the Poltava region in 1943 from the German invaders, it restored the destroyed collective farm. A Komsomol-youth link was appointed.
In 1948, the unit under the leadership of Vera Mikhailenko collected an average of 32.8 centners of wheat from each hectare on a plot of 20 hectares. In 1949, she was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor “for obtaining high yields of wheat, sunflower and southern hemp fiber when the collective farm complies with mandatory deliveries and contracting for all types of agricultural products, in kind payment for the work of the MTS in 1948, and provision of seeds for all crops for spring sowing 1949 " .
After enlargement, she worked as a handyman on the Vatutin collective farm in the Karlovsky district in his native village. Since 1968 - turner-milling tool shop of the Poltava diesel locomotive repair plant named after Zhdanov.
After retiring, lives in Poltava.
