Biography

Born on January 22, 1894 in the estate of Skurtitishki, Novoaleksandrovsky district, Kovno province, in a peasant family.

In 1909–1912, he studied at the Vidzov City School, at the Vilna Theological Seminary, and participated in the activities of the Belarusian seminarians cultural circle.

In 1919 he was ordained priest. In 1920-1924 he served in the city of Sharkovshchina . He preached and conducted catechism always in the Belarusian language.

He died on January 3, 1924 in Sharkovshchina. The Belarusian priest Frantisek Romeiko attended his funeral. Buried at the local parish cemetery.
