Biography
Born in a family of workers. He graduated from Shilkinsky High School (1955) and the Heat and Power Department of the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute (1960) with a degree in mechanical engineering.
Since 1960, he worked at the IPPE ( Obninsk ) from engineer to deputy director general of the institute; in recent years, he has been an adviser to the director general.
Doctor of technical sciences, professor. Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation .
The author and head of research in the field of technology and safety of nuclear power plants with fast neutron reactors. He participated in the development of sodium technology at the BR-5 /10 reactors, the development and commissioning of the BOR-600 experimental reactor, the BN-350 demonstration reactor, and the industrial power unit with the BN-600 reactor.
