Biography
He graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of BSU (1952). Since 1955, at the Belarusian State University, since 1965 the head of the department, simultaneously in 1979-1993. Director of the Research Institute of Physical and Chemical Problems of the Belarusian State University.
The main works on the photochemistry of inorganic systems, the chemistry of photographic processes, the chemistry of solids . He established the laws of thermal decomposition, photolysis and radiolysis of solid metal salts, photochemical transformations on the surface of solids in an aqueous medium, the formation of ultrafine complex oxides from co-precipitated metal hydroxides . He discovered the effects of a significant increase in photosensitivity in microheterogeneous systems and established the laws of photochemical processes in photochromic microheterogeneous systems based on halides of various metals. He developed the scientific foundations and technological principles for producing thin films of metals using chemical precipitation reactions in aqueous solutions , the principles of photo-selective deposition of metals and use for obtaining non-silver and silver photographic images.
The author of more than 450 scientific papers, including 3 monographs and 4 study guides, more than 120 inventions.
