He graduated from the Nesvizh Teacher Seminary (1909); in 1915-1916 and 1918 he studied at the historical and philological faculty of Petrograd University. In 1916 he was mobilized in the army, sent to the school of ensigns. In 1918, the head of the publishing department of the Belarusian National Commissariat . In 1918-1919, together with Ts. Gartny, he published the newspaper Dennitsa, where from 1918 he began to publish journalistic works. In the years 1919-1921 in the Red Army. Since 1922 in Minsk; worked in planning and economic bodies. Deputy Chairman of the State Planning Commission of the BSSR. In 1927-1932, he was a member of the board of the literary association Flame. Member of Inbelkult . Academician of BelAN since 1928. In 1929-1931 - the permanent secretary of BelAN. Since 1931, head of the department of economics at the research institute of industry. From 1931 to 1932 - Director of the Institute of Economics of BelAN . In 1933-1936 he headed the department of financial disciplines at the Belarusian State Institute of National Economy . Arrested on April 26, 1937. On October 29, 1937, the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR was sentenced to death. Rehabilitated March 16, 1957.

Creativity

He made his debut with the story “Above Kromania” in 1922 (the magazine Polymya). Throughout 1928-1930 he wrote the novel "Predators", which remained unfinished (the manuscript of the 2nd part was burned by the NKVD officers after the arrest).
