Kan, Valery Vladimirovich

At 16, he moved with his parents to the city of Ussuriysk, Primorsky Krai. In 2003, Kan Valery Vladimirovich joined the ranks of the United Russia political party. March 14, 2004 he was elected as a deputy of the Duma of the Ussuriysk urban district ^[1] . During the work, 5 own programs were developed and successfully implemented in the constituency. Valery Vladimirovich rendered assistance to preschool institutions, at his own expense equipped the local territories of his constituency with playgrounds. He also allocated money and building materials for the repair of porches, the equipment of adjoining territories, and organized yard celebrations for residents. But Valery Vladimirovich always paid special attention to pensioners, the disabled and children. For all the time of his work in the Ussuri Duma, Kan V.V. provided material assistance to the societies of the disabled, blind. The program “Young Generation” developed by him contributed to supporting the creativity of children and youth.

In 2004, V.V. Kan was elected president of the public organization "Primorsky Territorial Taekwondo Federation". Under his leadership, the federation has become one of the largest in the Primorsky Territory. Taekwondo sections were organized in many cities of the Primorsky Territory. Thanks to the active work of the president, the athletes of the federation constantly took part in Russian and international competitions and won prizes.

In 2007, Valery Kan was elected president of the Taekwon-do ITF Interregional Federation (on the basis of which the All-Russian Taekwon-do Development Federation (ITF) All-Russian Public Organization was created in 2009, of which Valery Vladimirovich was president until 2014). By 2013, the All-Russian Public Organization “All-Russian Taekwon-Do Development Federation (ITF)” included 43 regional branches from 7 federal districts. At all international competitions (since 2002), athletes of the All-Russian Taekwon-Do Development Federation (ITF) LLC showed high results and became winners in various disciplines.

Valery Kan is the owner of the black belt 5 Dan and an international instructor . In addition, in August 2007 at the XIV Championship and IX World Championship in Taekwon-do ITF in Birmingham, England, he became a silver and double bronze medalist.

On March 2, 2008, Valery Vladimirovich Kan was elected to the Legislative Assembly of the Primorsky Territory in the constituency No. 10. This constituency was the largest in the Primorsky Territory and united more than 80 thousand voters. For closer work with voters at the initiative of Kan V.V., more than 20 receptions were opened in the settlements of the district. In the district, several deputy programs were carried out. The main program is “ Not a day without sports ”, which promotes a healthy lifestyle among rural youth by involving them in sports.

From 2008 to 2012, V.V. Kan was a member of the executive committee of the All-Russian Union of Public Associations " Taekwondo Union (WTF) of Russia ". In this organization, Valery Vladimirovich oversaw the Far Eastern Federal District.

Since 2009, Valery Kan has been an honorary member of the Board of Trustees of the Regional State Autonomous Institution of Social Services " Ussuriysk rehabilitation center for people with mental retardation ."

From 2009 to 2011, V.V. Kan served as chief of the Primorsky regional headquarters of the All-Russian public organization Young Guard of United Russia . At the end of 2010, the Primorye branch of MGER was recognized as the best in the Far Eastern Federal District.

From December 2011 to December 2014 Valery Vladimirovich worked as a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Primorsky Territory in the single-mandate constituency No. 10 for the second time. He served as deputy chairman of the committee on regional politics and the rule of law.

Since 2013, he is the founder of the All-Russian Popular Front for the Primorsky Territory and a member of the regional political council of the All-Russian political party United Russia .

From 2013 to 2015, Valery Vladimirovich was the chairman of the youth meeting of deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Primorsky Territory.

Since October 2014, he has been Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Primorsky Branch of the Union of Writers of Russia .

From March to December 2015, he served as President of the Branch of the Russian Union of Martial Arts of the Primorsky Territory.

Since December 2015, he is a member of the Presidium of the inter-regional public organization " Asian-Pacific Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature ".

In 2008, thanks to the personal initiative of Valery Vladimirovich, the Taekwondo Land family fitness club was created on the basis of the sewing factory that closed. The club began work in October 2009 and became a socially significant sports venue and a real "heart" of the sports life of the Ussuriysk urban district. On the basis of the fitness club, city and regional championships in bench press, arm wrestling, fitness marathons, mas-wrestling, and fitness bikini are held . Taekwondo Land also takes care of people with disabilities: they conduct classes in the health group of the Ussuri urban district under the supervision of experienced instructors. The fitness club arranges meetings with famous people and sports stars such as: Russian canoeist rower, sprinter Ivan Shtyl, Russian swimming athlete among hearing-impaired athletes Vitaly Obotin, famous Soviet, Russian and Australian boxer Konstantin Tszyu, speaker of parliament Republic of Korea, the rock band "Nazareth" and others.

At the initiative of Valery Vladimirovich today, about 100 people with disabilities are engaged in taekwondo sections in the Primorsky Territory. From 2010 to 2012, Valery Vladimirovich served as vice president of the Parathaekwondo Union of Russia .

At the initiative of V.V. Kan, the VI WTF World Taekwondo Championship was held in Vladivostok in July 2011 in the sports complex Phums, which became the first Championship of this level in Russia. Athletes from 56 countries of the world took part in it. According to the results of the Championship, the Russian team took the 5th team place, which is the best result for the entire time the Russian team participated in the World Championships.

On the initiative of Valery Vladimirovich, on May 16, 2010, in Vladivostok, as part of the regional Taekwondo Championship, a festival was held for the first time among people with disabilities for the prizes of the Governor of Primorsky Krai.

Since 2014, Valery Kan has been appointed curator of the Children's Sport project of the All-Russian political party United Russia in the Primorsky Territory (from this moment several programs have been successfully implemented: the School Sports Clubs project, the Yard Coach project, and the Bring the Child to sport ”, a project to create and open a“ Center for Sports Medicine ”in the Far Eastern region, a project to provide subsidies to air carriers to provide preferential travel for sports delegations to the western part of the country to participate in the competition I am of the all-Russian level.

On the initiative of Valery Kan and with the support of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Primorsky Territory, the Bring the Child to Sport program started in 2015. This project is a form of involving children and adolescents in physical education and sports. As part of the program, on February 1, 2016, a unified sports call center began operating, which has a complete database of all sports sections in the territory of the Primorsky Territory. By calling the call center, parents will receive recommendations for their children to exercise, based on their place of residence, as well as the physiological, psychological characteristics of the child and his medical indications.

In May 2016, at the initiative of Deputy Valery Kan, two free seminars for city residents were organized in Ussuriysk with the participation of innovative pedagogue Alexei Vorontsov and business coach Oleg Bely. Vorontsov Aleksey Borisovich, head of the Experimental Educational Complex “School of Development”, general director of the Open Institute “Developmental Education”, chairman of the Board of the International Association “Developmental Education” held a seminar for representatives of the educational sector of the Ussuriysky urban district on methods of working with federal state educational standards. Bely Oleg Viktorovich, a professional business coach, doctor, candidate of medical sciences, a leading Russian-speaking specialist in the field of medical marketing, delivered a lecture for medical workers of institutions of the Ussuriysky urban district on the psychological characteristics of communicating with patients, managing emotions and shaping the worldview of a successful doctor.

On the initiative of Kan Valery, on June 6, 2016 (on the poet’s birthday), the monument to A. S. Pushkin was unveiled in the city of Ussuriysk ^[2] . The creator of the monument was the honored sculptor of Uzbekistan, honored art worker Shapiro Yakov Iosifovich, and co-author - twice Hero of the USSR, pilot-cosmonaut Dzhanibekov Vladimir Alexandrovich. A distant relative of the poet came to the opening ceremony of the monument from Moscow. A festive flash mob was also held in honor of the unveiling of the monument in the city square: 300 Ussuriites lined up in living letters "Pushkin" and launched balloons into the sky.

Valery Vladimirovich has more than 500 letters of appreciation and certificates from public organizations, enterprises, institutions, higher and secondary educational institutions of the Primorsky Territory.

In April 2012, Valery Kan initiated the creation of the Public Fund "Primorsky Krai Fund for the Development of Physical Culture, Sports and Social Initiatives of Citizens" We Are Together ", one of the founders and chairman of which is currently ^[3] .

Over the three and a half years of the activities of the Public Fund “We Together”, at the initiative of Kan V.V., many cultural and sports events were held, as well as socially significant projects ^[4] :

• The Sport Courtyard project - reconstruction and equipment of a sports ground, improvement of a local area along Leningradskaya Ussuriysk Street;

• project "Children's joy" - installation of two planar sports and gaming complexes: in the village. Novoshakhtinsky Mikhailovsky district and the village. Lipovtsy in the Oktyabrsky District of Primorsky Territory, as well as in the territory of the Children's Hospital "Oak Grove" in Ussuriysk;

• patronage of the large Kuzmenko family from the village. Novoshakhtinsky Primorsky Territory;

• “Fun Starts” dedicated to the 68th and 69th anniversaries of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War;

• holiday to the Children's Day “Children must laugh” - festive events were held for the pupils of KGOKU "Children's Home of Ussuriysk" and KGBUSO "Ussuriysk Rehabilitation Center for Minors";

• The first sports festival of the Primorsky Territory - the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, physical education and sports among the population of our region. A famous boxer, world champion Konstantin Tszyu arrived at the first large-scale sports festival in the history of Primorye;

• “Extend a helping hand” campaign - collecting humanitarian aid for residents of Komsomolsk-on-Amur who suffered from flooding in the fall of 2013;

• action to promote sports and healthy lifestyles - the arrival in Ussuriysk of the famous canoe-rower Ivan Shtyl;

• action to promote sports and healthy lifestyles - the arrival in Ussuriysk of the seven-time Champion of the Olympic Games Vitaly Obotin;

• Integrated Spartakiad among people with disabilities and people with disabilities in the village. Novoshakhtinsky;

• the annual regional festival of wrestling “Together” in memory of law enforcement officers and law enforcement agencies of the Primorsky Territory who died in the line of duty;

• large-scale People’s program “We will give children a smile together” - installation of 51 children’s sports and game complexes in the adjoining territories of the Ussuriysky urban district;

• opening of the Ussuri branch of the Sambo-70 Sports and Education Center on the basis of secondary school No. 14;

• All-Russian action “Record of Victory”, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War;

• opening of sambo wrestling schools in the cities of China (Suifenhe, Duning, Hunchun);

• collection of humanitarian aid for residents from flood-hit areas of the Primorsky Territory in the summer of 2015;

• fundraising and assistance in undergoing a medical examination during employment for internally displaced refugees from Ukraine;

• New Year's event “The Power of Dreams” together with the NTV television company - assistance in fulfilling the dreams of an Ussuri schoolchild;

• a sports event “Working environment free from smoking”, organized jointly with the SUEK-REGIONS Foundation for Socio-Economic Support of Regions.

The public fund conducts extensive activities in the Ussuriisk urban district, Mikhailovsky and Oktyabrsky municipal districts to implement socially useful programs and events, and helps to solve social, charitable, and cultural problems. Every year, with the support of the public foundation “We Together”, about 20 sporting events are held among children and youth.

In April 2016, on the initiative of Valery Kan and with the support of the Public Fund “Primorsky Territory Fund for the Development of Physical Culture, Sports and Social Initiatives of Citizens“ Together, ”a master class was organized for residents of Ussuriysk entitled:“ Never Give Up! ". Held by the owner of the title "Miss World 2013" among girls in wheelchairs, a public figure, motivational speaker Ksenia Bezuglova.
