The names of the Kanishchevs and Konishchevs are entered in Gerbovnik:
- The Kanishchevs, the offspring of Alexander Dmitrievich Kanishchev granted the patrimony in 1614 (Coat of arms X. No. 32).
- Konishchevs. whose ancestors owned estates in 1694 (Coat of arms. Part XII. No. 114) [1] .
It dates back to the XVII century and is included in the VI part of the genealogy books of Moscow [2] , Yaroslavl and Kostroma provinces (Herbovnik X, 32 and XII, 114).
The founder of one branch, Alexander Dmitrievich - for the Moscow siege seat [ specify ] granted by the patrimony (1614), the other - Ivan Merkulovich Kanishchev was a steward and colonel of Moscow archers ( 1696 ).

Coat of arms of the offspring of Alexander Dmitrievich Kanishchev: the shield is divided perpendicularly into two parts, of which the right part of the silver fortress is depicted in the right blue and red colors and it has two swords crosswise, with its points pointed upwards, and on the left side, in the golden field, the left part of the black eagle is visible .
The shield is crowned with a noble helmet and crown. Crest : three ostrich feathers. The mark on the shield is blue and gold, enclosed in gold and red.

Coat of arms of the Kanishchev family: the shield is not divided horizontally evenly. In the lower, larger black part, a golden horse with red eyes and tongue galloping to the right. In the smaller, upper golden part, horizontally, a red sword, point to the right. The shield is crowned with a noble crowned helmet. Crest: rising golden horse with red eyes and tongue. Bait: black and gold on the right, red and gold on the left [3] .
