Stanislav Ivanovich Mushroom (born August 6, 1944 , the village of Savichi , Dyatlovsky District , Grodno Region ) is a Belarusian scientist in the field of crop production . Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2003), academician of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the Republic of Belarus (1994-2002), a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (2001) and the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (2001), doctor of agricultural sciences (1988), professor (1998) .

Biography

He graduated from the Belarusian Agricultural Academy (1966). Since 1970, he was the head of the laboratory of the Ganusovka experimental plant for sugar beets, since 1973 he was the deputy head of the Western breeding center for grains, legumes and cereals, since 1978 he was the head of the Western breeding center, deputy director for scientific work of the Belarusian Research Institute of Agriculture and Feed, 1980 - head of the department; since 1990, head of the laboratory of this institute. In 1995-1997 Vice President of the Academy of Agrarian Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, in 1997-2002 Academician-Secretary of the Department of Agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Since 2002, the main research associate of the Institute of Agriculture and Breeding of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Scientific work in the field of seed breeding and grain cultivation technology. He developed and put into practice intensive varieties of crops with a potential yield of 8-10 t / ha, proposed methods for creating genetic diversity and identifying genotypes that combine high productivity with tolerance to biotic and abiotic environmental factors, and good product quality. He developed and introduced into production a system of adapted, resource-saving varieties of barley, oats, triticale, spring wheat.

The author of more than 400 scientific papers, including 9 monographs, 7 inventions, 38 copyright certificates for plant varieties, of which 14 are included in the register of foreign countries.

  • 1994 State Prize of the Republic of Belarus for the series of works “Development of methods and selection results of highly productive, resource-saving varieties of spring barley and winter rye”.
