Brovkino is a village in the Zarai district of the Moscow region , in the municipality of the rural settlement of Strupnenskoe (until November 29, 2006 it was part of the Zhuravensk rural district ) [2] .

Geography
Brovkino is located 13 km west of Zaraisk , on the Neznanka River, a left tributary of the Osetr River [5] , the height of the center of the village above sea level is 169 m [6] .
History
Brovkino was first mentioned in the Scribal Books of 1578, until April 27, 1923 was part of the Kashira district of the Tula province . In 1857, there were 16 courtyards and 165 inhabitants in the village, in 1910 the Zemsky school was opened, in 1926 - 42 courtyards and 176 inhabitants. In 1930 the Novaya Zhizn collective farm was formed, since 1950, as part of the Druzhba collective farm, and since 1961, as part of the Krasnaya Zvezda state farm [7] .
