Anatoly Alexandrovich Tokov ( February 17, 1990 , Tobolsk ) - a Russian mixed-style fighter of the middle weight category, has been playing professionally since 2009. Biography
Anatoly Tokov was born on February 17, 1990 in the city of Tobolsk, Tyumen Region . At the age of fifteen, he began to actively engage in army hand-to-hand combat , was trained at the Sibiryak martial arts club under the guidance of coach Andrei Mikhailovich Sabarov.
He achieved his first serious success at the adult level in the 2008 season, when he became the champion of Russia in ARB, won several tournaments of all-Russian and international importance, and he fulfilled the standard of a master of sports . He also performed several times at tournaments in pankration and combat sambo .
In 2009, Tokov joined the famous Red Devil Fighting Team fighting club and made his debut in professional mixed martial arts - he defeated his first rival Anatoly Vintovkin by technical knockout at the qualifying tournament of the organization M-1 Global in St. Petersburg. Over the next two years, he held a total of six victorious fights, including winning the M-1 Challenge tournament in Astrakhan. He suffered his first defeat in his career in December 2011 by knockout from Magomed Magomedkerimov at the Russian Championship according to the S-70 League . In 2012, he participated in the reality show M-1 Fighter, aired on the Fighter TV channel - he won all three grand prix matches here.
Tokov continued to fight in various Russian promotions, in 2013 and 2014 he won a number of significant victories, in particular he prevailed over such experienced fighters as Albert Duraev and Jordan Smith . In 2015, among other things, along with Fedor Emelianenko, he visited the Rizin fighting federation tournament in Japan, where he knocked out the famous American fighter AJ Jay Matthews in the first minute of the first round.
Thanks to a series of successful performances in 2016, Anatoly Tokov won the right to challenge the vacant Absolute Championship Berkut middleweight title, and Arbi Aguyev defeated him in the title fight by technical knockout and became the new champion of the organization. He also spent one fight in the Fight Nights promotion, here, by unanimous decision, he defeated the representative of Serbia, Vladimir Filipovic [1] [2] [3] .
In 2017, he signed a contract with a major American organization, Bellator, and made his debut on the North American continent in February, winning by TKO Francisco France.
In October 2018, he met in the Bellator cage with the titled compatriot Alexander Shlemenko and won against him by unanimous decision [4] .
March 22, 2019 held his 4th fight at the Bellator against Gerald Harris. In the 1st round, Tokov was on the verge of defeat, having been knocked down, but managed to recover and return to battle, and already in the 2nd round he was able to hold a strangling guillotine and win the battle. [five]
He has higher education, graduated from the Tobolsk State Social and Pedagogical Academy named after D. I. Mendeleev [6] .
