Biography
Born on January 15, 1900 in a large family of a teacher and local historian Korla Boguver Shetsa and his wife Anna Emilia Albertets in the Serbluzhik village of Rakhlov pod Chernobog. After graduating from a teacher training school in Budishina, he worked as a teacher until the outbreak of World War II. After the war, from 1945 he worked as chief inspector for the conservation of monuments in the Bautzen area. He described the significant natural and cultural-historical monuments of this administrative region. Since 1958 he was a member of the local lore society of the Upper Puddle.
For his local history and scientific work, he was awarded the Johannes Becher Gold Medal and the Leibniz Medal of the GDR Academy of Sciences.
