Alexey Ivanovich Piskunov ( February 24, 1921 , Okhansk , Perm Province - May 30, 2005 , Moscow ) - a scientist-teacher, historian of pedagogy.
Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences (1965), Professor (1968). Corresponding member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences (APN) of the USSR since February 2, 1968, full member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR since March 4, 1971, full member of the Russian Academy of Education (RAO) since April 7, 1993. He was in the department of philosophy of education and theoretical pedagogy.

Biography
He began his pedagogical activity in 1940 as a teacher of the German language at school. He graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Stavropol Pedagogical Institute in 1942. He worked as a head teacher. He taught at the Makhachkala Pedagogical Institute.
Since 1949 - a graduate student of the Institute of Theory and History, teachers of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the RSFSR. From 1952 to 1954 - Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Pedagogy of the Mordovian Pedagogical Institute. In 1955-1962 he was a senior research fellow, and in 1962-1965. - Head sector of the history of pedagogy of the Institute of Theory and History of Pedagogy of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the RSFSR. Since 1965 - Deputy Director of the Institute of Theory and History of Pedagogy of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the RSFSR (then the Scientific Research Institute of Optical Sciences of the USSR Academy of Sciences), in 1974-1980 - its director.
In 1971-1976, a member of the Presidium, academician-secretary of the Department of Theory and History of Pedagogy of the USSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences. At the same time in 1969-1971. - Professor, in 1980-2000, Head of the Department of Pedagogy of the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute named after V.I. Lenin .
He was buried in Moscow at the Don cemetery [1] .
