Gameplay
Watch Dogs 2 has a set of basic missions, tasks for preparing for them, and side quests. In structure, key operations resemble robbery in GTA 5 and assassination in Assassin's Creed 2 [3] . However, unlike the protagonists of these games, the heroes here are not criminals or killers, but hackers. Therefore, Watch Dogs 2 implies stealth passing, although the use of weapons is possible in the game [4] .
The only correct decision is not imposed on the player to complete the task, but as freedom is given in the sandbox , the stated goal can be achieved in several ways. A variety of actions contributes to the level design, which allows you to get to the same location in different ways.
To complete the missions will need to interact with the city systems. Hackers can hack everything that is equipped with a microcircuit: telephones, computers, video surveillance cameras, traffic lights, cars, electrical panels, transformers, etc. The main character sees objects that can be hacked thanks to the NetHack mode. Hacking allows characters to receive information, to intrigue enemies, create traps, in general, administer justice in their own way.
It is also worth noting the pumping system - the ability to improve the skills of the protagonist, which is easy to adjust to your playing style [5] . You can upgrade your skills in social hacking or driving a car, learn to hack urban communications or improve your drones .

Development
The start of work on the second part of the Watch Dogs game was known almost immediately after the release of the first Watch Dogs. The head of Ubisoft, Yves Gilmo, hinted in every possible way that the studio was seriously thinking about the continuation of the hacker action movie. Very high sales of the first part inevitably also led to the sequel [6] .
In April 2015, a mention of the sequel to the game was noticed in an online summary of Watch Dogs' main gameplay programmer, Julien Riesse. Riesse had previously worked on a plot addition to Watch Dogs - Bad Blood . Ubisoft creative director Jonathan Morin also announced the start of “big work on bugs” of the original game [7] .
In an interview with CVG , Ubisoft Vice President Lionel Raynaud stated that the best ideas await players in the sequel to the acclaimed Watch Dogs [8] .
There are always things to keep up until the next game. In this case, the extra time allowed us to add a lot of ideas to the game, and we are pleased with this. Yes, we have thoughts about a sequel. We simply could not add some things without changing the structure of the game, others, larger ones, were naturally born during development and were so different that it would change the original essence of the gameplay ... <...> ... So we leave something for the next game.
During the year, very little was known about the development of the game, until in April 2016, actor King King posted a photo with the attached photo of the probable protagonist of the game in his Instagram “ thekingcort” , which reported that the capture of the movements for the protagonist was “written” from the actor video games [9] .
The subject of discussion in the gaming media then was the new protagonist, an unknown black hacker who replaced Aiden Pearce, the hero of the original Watch Dogs . In the photo, the game model of the character with glasses , a baseball cap and a bandana covering the lower part of the face holding a gun in one hand and a smartphone in the other [10] . Then representatives of Ubisoft declined to comment.
Less than a week before the start of the E3 2016 exhibition in Los Angeles , the debut trailer of the game [11] appeared on the Ubisoft website and on the official YouTube channel, showing a new setting (alternative to San Francisco ) and some characters, among whom the declared protagonist was noticed games - Marcus Holloway. It also became known that Marcus is a member of the hacker youth community DedSec, which is fighting for the rights of citizens to privacy and freedom of information, and not always by legal means.
On E3 itself, the Watch Dogs 2 gameplay was shown [2] . In the demo mission, the main character of the game, together with like-minded people from DedSec, conducted an operation to discredit the CEO of one of the most popular social networks! NViTE, which used the personal data of citizens to falsify the votes.
There were also many gameplay innovations, including a new hacking system, new gadgets and an advanced parkour system. According to preliminary information, it became known that Watch Dogs 2 will be released on November 15, 2016 on PlayStation 4 , Xbox One and PC [12] . On October 18, 2016, developers announced that the PC version of the game will be released later on November 29, 2016 . Ubisoft explained this by saying that they want to improve the PC version by adding 4K support and removing the frame rate limiter .

The game received higher ratings than the first part, critics especially praise the lively open world , various options for completing missions and the visual part of the game. But at the same time, reviewers note the imperfection of the main storyline and the weak warhead.
Watch Dogs 2 as if exponentially ignores all the annoying modern trends and makes the player always have fun.

In the nomination "Action of the Year" of the site Gambling, the game took third place.
The project came out fervent and in a good way “geeky”: even the heroes of the game arranged their headquarters in a secret room behind the geek-goods store! The scriptwriters gave us a lot of great episodes, one brighter than the other.
