Sam Beat ( Eng. Sam Bith ; 1933 ? - February 15, 2008 ) - Khmer Rouge field commander, former deputy Ta Moka. Convicted of an armed attack on a passenger train on July 24, 1994.

Biography
Born in 1933, had a mixed Khmer-Chinese origin. On July 26, 1994, a detachment under his command carried out an armed attack on a passenger train [2] . At least 10 passengers were killed by the Khmer Rouge [3] . Survivors were captured and taken to the Khmer Rouge base in Kampot province [2] [3] . Three months after the attack, they were killed, negotiations with the government of Cambodia on their ransom failed [2] .
