Debut Ideas
The main idea of the gambit is to sacrifice an bishop for a pawn , to deprive the black king of the castling and, taking advantage of his unreliable position, to get chances of an attack. In his study, A. Jerome after 4. ... Kre8: f7 recommended to continue the game by 5. Kf3: e5 + Kc6: e5 6. Фd1-h5 + (or 6. d2-d4 ), which, in his opinion, despite the good chances of black on defense, gave White interesting opportunities to continue the attack.
