The image of the Tinker Bell Fairy
Tinker Bell is described by the author as a fairy who loves to repair all kinds of copper things (cups, pans, etc.) from which, in fact, her original name Tinker Bell comes from. Ding-Ding's character is sometimes vengeful and vicious, but in general, she is Peter Pan's first friend and assistant (probably this is the result of her romantic feelings for Peter). Like all fairies, Dinh can die if loved ones cease to believe in fairies.
From the point of view of an ordinary person, the flying Tinker Bell looks like a bright golden dot, instead of a human voice it has a ringing of a bell, however, the author depicts it as a young girl.
The role of Ding-Ding on the screen was performed by: Virginia Brown Fair ( Herbert Brenon ’s film " Peter Pan ", 1924 ), Yekaterina Cherchenko (Soviet film " Peter Pan ", 1987 ), Julia Roberts ( Steven Spielberg film " Captain Hook ", 1991 ) and Ludivine Sagnier (film “ Peter Pan ”, 2003 ), Rose McIver (TV series “ Once Upon a Time ”, 2013).
In 1953, Walt Disney cartoon Peter Pan came out. Many believed that Disney painted the image of Digne with Marilyn Monroe . However, Disney himself later admitted that the prototype of Tinker Bell was Margaret Kerry , because at the time when the animated film "Peter Pan" was created, Marilyn Monroe still practically did not know.
The bronze statue of Ding Ding is located in London . The author is the sculptor Dyermud Byron O'Connor, who created it on behalf of the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, to which J. Barry transferred the rights to his characters. The Tinker Bell figurine was added to an earlier statue of Peter Pan. The size of this statue is 24 centimeters (wingspan) by 18 centimeters (in height). This is the smallest statue in London. The mini-statue was unveiled on September 29, 2005 by Princess Sofia of Wessex .
In addition to Arthur Rackham’s first illustrations, Brian Frood and Marie Petty also created catchy fairy images.
Disney Tinker Bell
Ding in the interpretation of Walt Disney is dressed in a dress (to the level of the hips), stitched from light green leaves, yellow panties and shoes with pompons . In this form, scattering pollen from fairies, Tinker Bell has become a kind of logo - the image of Walt Disney's company itself. In addition, she constantly appeared in the Disney animated series “The House of Mouse”, as well as in various video games.
A series of story books about Ding Ding later came out. The author of the first of these books is American storyteller Gail Carson Levin. After that a whole series of “fairy stories” was created.
In the fairy tales, Ding-Ding has several friends: for example, a sparrow man named Terence, a fairy of the water of Reni . In the official sequel to J. Barry's tale, Tinker Bell falls in love with an elf named Flying Light. After the Flying Spark accomplishes a feat, he and Ding-Ding get married .
At present, the image of Ding-Ding can be found on numerous posters, watches , bedroom doors, hats, T-shirts, umbrellas, and even on rings and pendants on necklaces. There are also a number of products for girls with the emblem in the form of a Ding Ding Fairy. Unlike other female Disney characters, Ding-Ding is not a princess , but a fairy (but nevertheless, by the way, she was included in the Disney Princess line).
In most paintings, Tinker Bell does not have an ordinary human voice. Nevertheless, in the fall of 2008, a full-length computer cartoon dedicated to this heroine was released - there she first spoke on the screen. After that, the second and third parts were released: “ Fairies: Lost Treasure ” and “ Fairies: Magic Salvation ”.
In total, at present, 7 cartoons about Tinker Bell have been released: Fairies , Fairies: Lost Treasure , Fairies: Magic Salvation , Fairies: Fairy Valley Tournament , Fairies: Mystery of the Winter Forest , Fairies: Riddle Pirate Island ”and“ Fairies: The Legend of the Beast ”In these films, the brave Ding-Ding has many friends , most of whom are not included in the Peter Pan series.
