Biography
She was born on August 28, 1913 in Lviv in the family of I. S. Sventsitsky . In 1932 she graduated from the gymnasium of the Vasilianok sisters. During 1932 - 1938 she studied at the University of Lviv , since 1939, Master of Arts. Researcher at the National Museum in Lviv .
Joined the OUN . She was in the dock during the Lviv trial of 1936 , acquitted.
After the liberation of Western Ukraine in 1944, Sventsitskaya was arrested by the bodies of the Ministry of State Security of the USSR . Since she was the daughter of the director of the National Museum in Lviv and a well-known art critic, Sventsitskaya was only sent into exile ( 1947 - 1956 ). Kulchitskaya, Elena Lvovna played a big role in saving Sventsitskaya from the camps.
After returning from deportation, she worked (since 1962 ) at the State Museum of Ukrainian Art.
She died on May 25, 1991 .
