Biography
She was born on November 2, 1924 in the village of Sheshory (now Kosovo district , Ivano-Frankivsk region , Ukraine ) in a peasant family. During the war, when the front line passed through their village, the parental house burned down and the family moved to the neighboring village of Sheshory . Here Anna graduated from high school.
In 1964 - 1971 she made ornamental towels, which were dedicated to T. G. Shevchenko . Reproductions of towels Vasilashchuk and G. Veres, “Kobzar” by Shevchenko ( Kiev , 1971 ). In 1967 , an exhibition of works by the craftswoman “Wreath to Kobzar” is exhibited at the Taras Shevchenko State Museum.
Awards and Prizes
- The State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR named after T. G. Shevchenko ( 1968 ) - for the cycle of Ukrainian folk woven towels (1965-1967)
