Geography
The village of Maka is located in the north-eastern part of the Dokuzparinsky district.
History
From the XVI century to 1839, the village was part of the Altyparin Free Society . In 1839 it became part of the Russian Empire. It belonged to the Dokuzpar naibstvo of the Samur district of the Dagestan region . In 1929, it was included in the newly formed Akhtynsky district of the DASSR . [1] In 1934, the newly formed Dokuzparinsky district. In the 1960s, the villagers were resettled on the plain, in the village of Kuisun, Magaramkent district. Some of the Makhintsy live in Maca Kazmalyar.
Population
Before the resettlement, the Lezghins lived in the village of Maka, the Muslims were Sunnis . In 1886, 990 people lived in the village. [2]
