Broquet, Denis

Denis Brockett ( French Broquette ;? - 1734 ) - French gardener, court gardener of Peter I and Catherine I. In the Russian service since 1715 . He was engaged in the construction of gardens in St. Petersburg , in particular, Peterhof , Yekaterinhof and the palace and park ensemble in Strelna. He cultivated many odorous flowering plants that Peter I loved.
