Shuisky, Vasily Fedorovich China

Prince Vasily Fedorovich Shuisky , nicknamed China (d. January 17, 1496 ), is a Russian statesman and military figure from the Shuisky clan. Viceroy of Ivan III in Novgorod and Pskov .

Vasily Fedorovich Shuisky began his service in Pskov with his famous father, Prince Fedor Yuryevich Shuisky . In 1476 he executed the orders of the Grand Duke in the case of a quarrel between the Pskov and the governor, Prince Yaroslav Obolensky . For some time he was governor in Torzhok , immediately after the fall of Novgorod independence in 1480-1481 he was governor in Novgorod. He participated in a campaign against Livonia in 1481.
