Nakhodkin, Nikolai Grigorevich

Nikolai Grigorievich Nakhodkin ( January 25, 1925 - July 3, 2018 [1] ) - Soviet and Ukrainian scientist, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine : Department of Physics and Astronomy (since 1990 ). Professor at the Faculty of Radiophysics, Electronics and Computer Systems of Kiev Taras Shevchenko National University , an authoritative specialist in the field of microelectronics and nanotechnology .

Biography

His father graduated from the medical faculty of Kharkov University , he worked as a doctor. Mother graduated from the Biological Faculty of Kiev Higher Women's Courses, worked as a teacher.

  • Primary education (first four years) received in a rural school.
  • Since 1935 - in the 128th Ukrainian secondary school in Kiev, which was located on Nikolskaya Slobodka.
  • In 1941 he managed to finish nine classes.
  • After the war, an external student in two weeks passed the exams for the certificate of maturity. Entered the correspondence department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of Kiev University
  • A year later he transferred to the Faculty of Physics and graduated in 1950.
  • Since 1950 he worked at the university. [2]

Scientific achievements

Nikolai Grigorievich studied with Academician Alexander Davydov , who taught quantum mechanics . Nakhodkin's diploma work caused a furore - the graduate quickly surpassed his teachers and soon received thanks from the Zeiss company for taking advantage of his technology to improve the quality of the television tubes that were produced.

Atlas of Ionization Spectra

The main line of research is research in the field of solid state physics . At the radiophysical faculty under the leadership of Nikolai Nahodkin, the world's first reference book, Atlas of Ionization Spectra, and the monograph Ionization Spectroscopy [3] have been created .

Silicon Purity

Kiev radiophysics in the laboratory of Nikolai Nakhodkin found inconsistencies in silicon, which was used in the USSR in the manufacture of miniature semiconductor devices, there were too many impurities of alkali metals in it. Their advice was heeded, and the problem was very quickly resolved [4] .
