Tatra Bank Bank Palace ( Slovak. Bankový palác Tatra banky ) - a palace in Bratislava in the urban area Old Town on the Square of the Slovak National Uprising . It was built after the First World War .
The project was developed by Milan Michal Garmintz and his design team. The palace was built in the period from 1922 to 1925 . Apartments were located on the upper floors, the director of the bank, the brother of the poet, prose writer and translator Yanko Esensky , Dr. Vladimir Yesensky and his family lived here.
In 1970-1980, the facility used Czechoslovak television . Later, the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic was located in the building. After an expensive reconstruction, a memorial plaque of M.M. Garminets was placed in the lobby at the entrance to the building, and a gallery of busts of famous figures of Slovak culture was created in the lobby.
