Boris Ivanovich Bondarenko (born June 24, 1938 , Zaporozhye , USSR ) is a Soviet and Ukrainian physicist , academician of NASU .

Biography
In 1960 he graduated from the Kiev Polytechnic Institute .
From 1961-1999 he was an engineer, senior engineer, junior researcher, senior researcher, head of the laboratory, head of the department of thermal processes.
Since 1992 - corresponding member of NASU .
Since 1999 - Deputy Director for Research.
Since 2003 - Director of the Gas Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kiev).
The scope of scientific research is the study of the physicochemical interaction of materials and their oxides with components of the gas system. Under the direction of Bondarenko, a new class of gas-density conveyor furnaces for thermochemical processing of materials was developed.
Chairman of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on scientific and technical cooperation with India .
Winner of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine named after M. Dobrokhotova (2004) [1] .
