Biography
Born on January 31, 1882 in the village of Glusk (present Mogilev region).
In 1907 he graduated from Kiev University , where he worked.
In 1910, he used chlorofibre ether to obtain tertiary fatty alcohols.
In 1925–1930, he also worked at the Kiev Institute of National Economy , from 1930 - at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute , and from 1932 - at the Research Institute of Rubber and Rubber Plants.
In 1934–1939 - head of the high-molecular compounds department of the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology.
Since 1935 - Professor, from March 15, 1939 - Chairman of the Department of Physico-Chemical and Mathematical Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR Academy of Sciences.
Died July 22, 1939 in Kiev.
Research
Scientific works are devoted to research in the field of organic synthesis, such as the study of the synthesis of beta- hydroxy acids , alcohols for the Grignard reaction , sulfur derivatives of 1, 2,4- triazole , unsaturated ketones; He studied the composition of resins of domestic rubber plants - together with the corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR S. M. Reformatsky .
