History
The album debuted at position # 14 in the American Billboard 200 charts with sales of more than 61,000 copies, which exceeded the singer’s previous album’s figure (60,000 units from the 2000 album You're the One ) [10] . Surprise was the highest achievement for Simon over the past decade and a half for the first time since the disc The Rhythm of the Saints , which reached number 4 in 1990. 296,000 copies of Surprise were sold in the United States [11] .
