Nedelin, Vadim Serafimovich

Nedelin Vadim Serafimovich ( born May 4, 1928 - † July 15, 1993 ) - Soviet military leader, commander of the 43rd missile army of the Strategic Missile Forces , colonel general (04/30/1982).

Born May 4, 1928 in the city of Borisoglebsk, Voronezh region .

Military Education

  • 1944 - Odessa Artillery Special School No. 16;
  • 1949 - Odessa Artillery School named after N.V. Frunze .
  • 1957 - Military Artillery Command
  • 1970 - Military Academy of the General Staff .

Walkthrough

After graduating from the artillery school, he served in the artillery units of the Ground Forces in the Leningrad Military District . Since 1960 - in the Strategic Rocket Forces : division commander; missile regiment commander.

In 1967-1968 - deputy commander of the 33rd Guards Missile Division ( Mozyr ) [1] .

Commander of the 32nd Missile Division ( Posture ) [2] ; Deputy Commander of the 50th Missile Army for combat training; First Deputy Commander of the 50th Missile Army ( Smolensk ).

In 1975-1982 - the commander of the 43rd Missile Army ( Vinnitsa ).

In 1982-1991 - Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Missile Forces at military schools - Head of the military schools of the Missile Forces.

He died on July 15, 1993 in Moscow . He was buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery .

Father - Nedelin Serafim Ivanovich (1903-1965) - Soviet scientist-economist, candidate of economic sciences , was a brother of the Commander-in-Chief of the Strategic Missile Forces, Hero of the Soviet Union , chief artillery marshal Nedelin Mitrofan Ivanovich (1902-1960) [3] .
