Yuri Alvear ( Spanish: Yuri Alvear Orejuela ; born March 29, 1986 , Hamundi , Valle del Cauca , Colombia ) is a Colombian judoka in the category of up to 70 kg. The first and only Olympic judo medalist from Colombia, a three-time world champion, and a six-time Pan American judo champion.

Biography
In 2012, at the Summer Olympics in London , she lost to the French judoka Lucy Decoss in the quarter finals (eventually won the gold medal), but in the semifinals she defeated the experienced Slovene Rush Sraka and won the Chinese woman Chen Fei in the fight for third place, eventually winning the bronze medal in weight categories up to 70 kg.
