Ratings

The observer of the newspaper Kommersant Arina Borodina in May 2005 noted the following: [1]

The Russian audience, unlike Muscovites, last week only watched serials actively. If you take all the program exits for the week, then in the Top 20, the Russian audience has only series among the priorities. [...] Moreover, all the leading serials go on the channel "Russia". For the second week in a row, the most popular adventure series “Fighter” remains among the country's viewers (it also leads in the capital). All four episodes became the most popular projects of the week with an average audience share of more than 40% (its rating is growing steadily). A little inferior to him is the action-packed series “Obsession” (it precedes “The Fighter” and strengthens the dynamics of the latter), whose share in the country is more than 35% on average. These two premieres even pushed the recognized leaders of recent months to “Carmelita” and “Healing with Love”, although the proportion of the audience of these more than serial films is still around 40%.

Candidate of Cultural Studies, Associate Professor of the Department "Philosophy, History and Law" of the Ural Branch of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian FederationE. V. Pismennyi noting that “the process of cardinal reinterpretation of the motives of the Tyumennovor mythology”, the essence of which is “the romanticization and heroization of thieves' customs and traditions, the“ code of honor “of the criminal world, its norms and rules of behavior”, takes place “through several information channels ”, To which he refers to“ modern cinema, replete with films and series, in which the heroes of the criminal world often acquire a positive connotation, ”cites as examples of such a thief in law by Kli ke "Cross" in the movie " Antikiller " looking mine Thomas in " canned " and in the TV series "Fighter" - chamber authorities Hamid and the head. In addition, Pismenny emphasizes that “the object of heroization is not so much the personality as the person’s belonging to the“ thieves’s law “, that is, the law itself, the means of representation of which are specific movie characters,” indicating that “the characters and movies listed above also contain characters belonging to the criminal world, but getting to the director of a negative connotation as people violate the prison-thieving tradition (Broom in "Antikiller" film " Antikiller 2 " in the Imperial series "SMG") " [5] .

Candidate of Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal and Penal Law of the Samara Law Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia A.P. Yelchaninov points out that "TV screens and cinemas were flooded with the so-called" criminal dramas ", glorifying the criminal world , thieves' laws , noble bandits and murderers . With great advertising support, the series “ Brigade ”, “ Boomer ”, “Antikiller”, “Fighter”, “ Gangster Petersburg ” and others were released on the screens. The impotence of the law and law enforcement bodies was loudly protruding in these films " [6] .
