Eldar Tkanevich Sattarov (b. April 26, 1973 ), Kazakhstani writer. Born and raised in Alma-Ata . By origin, half Vietnamese , half Tatar [1] .
Biography
In his youth, he sang in punk groups [2] , worked as an extras at Kazakhfilm , in agriculture ( viticulture , olive growing ), a factory worker, then a journalist, editor, columnist in various media. Currently works as a translator. Several publishing houses in Moscow published books translated by Sattarov from English, French, Spanish and Italian on avant-garde art ( situationalism : Guy Debord , Raul Vaneigem ; surrealism : Antonin Artaud ), alternative education ( Francesc Ferrer ) and philosophy ( Agamben ) [3 ] . The compiler of the Russian archive of the French thinker Jacques Camatt , his friend and teacher [4] . He started writing fiction in 2010. The debut novel, “Losing Our Streets” [5], published under the pseudonym Albert Spiazzatov, was sold in Alma-Ata, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Kazan , Astana and earned positive feedback from critics and readers. [6] [7] [8] . The second novel, “Transit Saigon-Almaty” [9] [10] [11] , reached the final of the literary prize " National Best Seller -2016" [12] [13] , taking the second prize [14] [15] . According to Artemy Troitsky , Sattarov became the first citizen of Kazakhstan represented in the Russian National Best Prize .
